About Device Identifiers
USB devices are identified by a unique identifier formed of two components: a vendor ID and a product ID. Both are 16-bits numbers generally represented in hexadecimal. These are the IDs you will find on this page in the "<VendorID>:<ProductID>" format. SteelSeries vendor ID is "1038".
On Linux, you can list all SteelSeries USB devices attached to your computer with the following command:
lsusb -d 1038:
Example output:
Bus 005 Device 003: ID 1038:1824 SteelSeries ApS SteelSeries Rival 3
